Hey! Thanks for visiting my website!

My name is Toby and I'm a filmmaker/videographer/photographer from Prague, Czech Republic, based out of NYC. I've been making films for years, transitioning from stop-motion animation into live-action short films, short documentaries, and music videos in my high school years. I specialize in directing, writing, cinematography, editing, and unbelievably poor acting. I also practice both digital and analog photography on the side.

In my belief, film is far more than just a medium for entertainment. Film has the power to be an empathy machine - a weapon for change, justice, and truth. Whenever I set out to tell a story, I can't help but question why I want to tell it in the first place. We as storytellers hold an immense power in our hands, so it's our responsibility to do it with great care and high respect for the craft and process of filmmaking. And that's exactly what I intend to do.

My films have been screened at the Tribeca Film Festival's Our City, My Story competition, the Queens Arts Festival, and the Johns Hopkins University High School Film Contest & Festival - where my film "Ghost Mode" won the Best Dramatic Short award. One of my photos has been published in the Photographer's Forum book "Best of College & High School Photography 2018." I graduated from the Frank Sinatra High School of the Arts as a film major in 2018 and I'm currently pursuing a degree in Film at Hunter College.
